Designer chooses high gloss Parapan® over gloss vinyl

The marriage of high gloss and wood takes kitchen design to the edge of contemporary living.  Parapan is the high gloss acrylic of choice for a growing number of top kitchen designers.

Ashley Ann specified Lime  Green Parapan with finger pulls to create a chic, sleek contrast to the grainy textural Anthracite Highland Oak doors and glacier white Corian.

‘The reason we chose Parapan over a gloss vinyl door is really to do with the vibrancy and depth of the colour of Parapan compared to a vinyl door, the longevity of the doors ie. scratches can be buffed out whereas they can't in a vinyl door and the flexibility of the product eg  made to measure sizes, and thermoformed curved doors'

Parapan® is a high gloss acrylic material that answers all the aesthetic and practical demands of the modern kitchen.  Available in 21 up to the minute shades the colour runs all the way through and will never fade.  Solid  and waterproof it is dramatically more hard wearing than lacquer and other applied finishes and can easily be repaired, it will not rot or de-laminate so is perfectly at home in steamy moist environments and is hygienic and easy to clean.

Doors, drawers and fascias in Parapan®, can be made to any size with a choice of edge treatments.  Fingerpulls that require no handles have been used in this kitchen in keeping with the minimalist look. Alternatively the simplicity of the high gloss finish allows doors to be dressed up or down with almost any style of handle.
